What is the class content?


Roll up, Roll up! Acrobatics is a combination of dance and gymnastic styled movements that became a permanent feature in many travelling circuses around the world. You will learn how to safely leap, roll, tumble, flip and tuck, as well as many other fun rolly-polly moves. If you enjoy trying new things and would like to gain more balance and coordination, then this is the class for you!


Our Acrobatics class works to develop strength and athleticism with the aim to achieve an extensive variety of acrobatic tumbles/tricks. Acrobatics class consists of strengthening exercises, balancing, basic tumbling and a progression toward more complex acrobatic skills.

In this technique students will:


  • Gain strength and flexibility

  • Develop coordination and balance techniques

  • Learn acrobatic skills for example,  tumbling and flips

Our acrobatics classes are specifically designed for:


  • From sub-junior - senior students

  • Those who want to participate in dance competitions- individual or troupe sections

  • Like to try something new

Diakosmos Dance Academy is located at 4 Newcastle Street, Thornbury, Melbourne, VIC 3071.

We are near public transport; Bus – Victoria Road, Thornbury-only a short walk. Thornbury Train Station and High Street Trams – only a 20 minute walk to the studio.
